Our emotions are an integral part of who we are. They express our comfort and understanding, or our lack thereof. As much as our emotions are tied to who we are, we must still work to accept and embrace them. In Uwazi (Transparency) objects and atmospheres are studied and embraced in order to integrate the emotional and the intellectual self. Journaling is often an essential part of this integration. In this coming of age exhibit, Suber explores the identity of the artist in the process of adolescent development through writing, assembly and collage, and digital recordings. Reading his letters, listening to his voice, and engaging through the sense of smell allow the viewer to connect with Suber emotionally, intellectually, and physiologically at a moment of distinct possibility.
